Girls Education Response Initiative (GERI)
Girls Education Response Initiative (GERI) is a youth-led, non-partisan, non-political, and non-profit-making National Nongovernmental Organization, registered with the Government of South Sudan under the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (Registration and Control) under Chapter 3, Section 10 of the NGOs Act, 2016, with Registration No: 3587 in 2021 and National Revenue Authority Tax Registration Number NGO2022120661KQ0V. It is also registered with the National Education Coalition (NEC) under Registration Number 183 and with the State Ministry of General Education (SMoGEI) in Eastern Equatoria State - Torit. GERI is a member of the Africa Coalition for Hepatitis (ACH) and the Network of AIDS Services Organization in South Sudan (NASOSS) / South Sudan HIV/AIDS Commission (SSAC). Girl’s Education Response Initiative (GERI) was founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2021 with the main objective to promote education and health development, food security and livelihood, WASH, peacebuilding, and women leadership transformation for vulnerable communities affected by the long decades of crisis in South Sudan, by cooperating with local communities through relief and development programs.
